About Postcard

Postcard is a twice-yearly literary magazine that features 10 poems by 10 poets with original art inspired by each poem printed on a postcard and packaged as an issue.

The designer and editor of Postcard has always loved broadsides, the way they combine art and text and act as a collaboration, and saw this as a way to create mini-, pseudo-broadsides; art on one side, poem on the other. Kind of like a reverse ekphrastic. The idea that these postcards will be used as postcards is also exciting; there’s something special and beautiful about a poem arriving in your mailbox, about these words and images traveling through the mail.

I hope the mail carriers can stop and give them a read…

Issues will have a limited 100 copy run.

Postcard loves the surreal, the weird, the strange, the future, the funny, and the heartbreaking. Postcard welcomes submissions from writers both new and established.
